Dressing up or Dressing down this Easter?

The four day weekend is upon us - so will you be dressing up or dressing down? Relaxing with the fam in your best slouchy wardrobe or turning the 4 day weekend into a 96 hour session and needing an outfit that can handle the pace? We've got some options for you:

If you're taking it easy:

Kick back in baggy jeans and a slouchy knit for the long weekend. If you change your plans at the last minute, the Patience Jeans can transform into a chic night time kit with a stilletto and chunky accessory. But for now, try them with the Cathedral Knit.

A good skinny jean is hard to come by but the Noize style will suit any weekend plans - and that includes downtime too. Pair them with the Tattered tee for a laid back look.

If you're going hard this weekend:

The Omen dress is a go-to for party hopping. Wear it from the bar to the club to the after party and it'll still be going strong the next day. Before you know it, it'll be Tuesday.

Guys, all you need for a memorable weekend is a slick black blazer. We recommend the Morbid Blazer for a simple take on a classic.

Have a Crackin' Easter!

Religion in House of Fraser Manchester

As the new season is still hitting down in stores, we caught up with Aimee, the manager of the Religion concession in House of Fraser Manchester to see what she is loving for SS13 and to hear about what’s hot in Manchester.

Aimee wears the Nature Dress  and Astonish Cardigan from SS13

What is your favourite piece this season?
I love the Magic Maxi dress. Yellows are really starting to hit down hard in Manchester and it is a fab statement piece (when the weather allows!).

The Magic Maxi: a Mancunian Must Have

Where is the best place for a night out in Manchester?
Definitely the Northern Quarter, there are plenty of cool and quirky bars to choose from with live bands and unusual drinks, from Hawaiian bars to the Black Dog Ballroom.

What’s on your playlist at the moment?
AlunaGeorge and Delilah are my most played at the moment…  I’m slightly obsessed with their take on music. LOVELOVELOVE.

What’s your go-to Religion item?
Persecution sweat - it’s great for days when you need something to look good without much effort, just add a pair of heels and some stripes!

For SS13 we’ve got some popping brights – which is your favourite?
Molten lava does it for me, its bright and vibrant and will look fab when the sun eventually comes out in Manchester. But for now, we can use it to brighten up the streets.

Something for the Weekend

We've got that Friday feeling. We're winding down, listening to Jurassic 5 and planning our weekend wardrobe. We're feeling bold and are gonna be rocking leathers, layers and brights. Take a look:

Monochrome for dummies: mix it up with different textures to give your look a bit of depth. We love leather at Religion, and the Licence Leather Shirt is great undone as a jacket or done up with the peek of a crew or v neck underneath. Match it with simple jerseys and a leather accessory.

Keep it simple with the Dreamer tee
Supreme Shorts - it's never to early to get your legs out
Eclipse Prong Holdall

Stripes are big for SS13 and nothing elongates those legs like narrow, vertical stripes. Take the trend a step further with our Sybil jeans in Molten Lava (they also come in Dazzling Blue or the subtler Opal Grey) paired with the Persecution Sweat. Wear the knit solo or with a crisp collared shirt underneath to smarten up the look.

Get Spring Ready

The sun has been shining on East London today so - call us eager but, we're ditching our winter coats and showing some skin. Care to join us?

When it's warm out, but not that warm, strike a compromise and go half and half with your wardrobe. Guys, wrap your legs in our bestselling Noize jeans, paired with bare arms in the Live East + Die Young vest, for an easy going Spring look. If that seems a bit extreme (it is only March after all) throw on the Onyx Jacket too.

For the Girls, it's time to bare those pins. Ease your way in to Summer with the shrine skirt, layered with a mix of subtle and bright tones. The Confrontation Sweat has a sheer back too which gives this bold look a softer edge.
