Introducing the new faces of Religion

Last week our Model Search with Premier Model Management came to an end with an exclusive event in our Shoreditch High Street store, which was packed with bloggers, stylists, journalists and buyers all there to see the winners of the competition.

And here they are! Thea was scouted in Manchester and we found Philip in our Shoreditch store, but coincidentally they are both from the same town in Derbyshire and went to the same Grammar school! There must be something in the water up there...

Thea and Philip were announced as the winners by the judging panel; Carole White from Premier and Religion's Mette Gaughan, pictured above with the winners. Both of the winners have truly individual style which is what we look for in models, but even better they look top notch in Religion too - Thea is wearing the Flag dress while Philip is rocking the Aces knit and Noize jeans. Thea is fresh faced and just finishing up school, while Philip has just started a womenswear design BA at Central St Martins.

Models, bloggers, journalists, buyers and stylists all came along to the store event followed by an afterparty in a Shoreditch warehouse.

Drinks were flowing all night courtesy of Hoxton Gin, Green Mark Vodka, Budweiser Budwar and Briska cider.

Get ready to see more of this hot couple in AW13...

The Latest Celebs to Rock Religion

Here's a look at the latest A-listers that we've spotted in Religion...

Jay and Siva of The Wanted are both big for Religion outerwear, Jay in the Portland Pea Coat with contrast leather sleeves and Siva in the distressed leather Sleeper Jacket . Both guys wear Religion with simple monochrome.

New music sensation and Religion style crush Nina Nesbitt gives our Bewitched Top a girly vibe with lace shorts and luscious blonde locks!

We're all used to seeing Leona Lewis in evening gowns while belting out a ballad - but we love her dressed down style. Our Strange Fascination top is tucked in to classic denims and paired with chunky knitwear.

Religion & Premier Model Search

The Religion and Premier Model Search kicked off at the start of September, and since then we have been travelling the country, stopping in at selected House of Fraser stores to scout the best model talent that we could find. We’ve also had a huge response online and the emails from gorgeous guys and girls have been coming through thick and fast.

We're searching for the next face of Religion - it could be you!
As we’ve spotted such brilliant talent so far, we’ve decided to extend our final weekend of scouting. We are now going to be hunting for the next face of Religion this weekend from the following locations:
Saturday 24th November 1-5pm - Portobello Road Store: 257, Portobello Road, Kensington, W11 1LR. 0207 727 3384

Religion in Norway

Religion is taking over - one country at a time. We launched in Norway earlier this year, selling with Ventus. We caught up with the girls in the Ventus office to see how things are going and what they love about Religion:

Tell us a bit about your showroom:
Our showroom offers a mix of both sport fashion and fashion for real fashionistas! In that way, we can provide our customers with the most popular down jackets while at the same time being the place to go to for edgy, fun, elegant and on-trend fashion! Religion is very different from our other Scandinavian and French brands, and it is what makes our customers extra excited when they step into our showroom!

What is your favourite item for Religion AW12?
We love the jackets! The leather jacket is on our wishlist…

Which of this seasons trends are your favourite?
Puffy textured jumpers and oversized coats worn over maxi-dresses! Or harem trousers in printed silk themed with a cool bomber jacket.

What are you wearing today?
We are wearing Religion ss13! Marianne, the “parchment” dress with the high cut front (B113DTD38), and a biker-style leather jacket from Italian Dekker. Rikke is looking superhot in the short yellow “cut-seem” dress (Religion ss13) and Topshop flats!

Which Norwegian celebs would you want to see in Religion?
Ray Kay, the famous producer, is definitely a Religion type of guy! He’s already worn Religion to major events and he rocks it! On the female side… we have thought about Marion Ravn. She’s a singer and a rock-chick, who would represent the brand very well!

Ray Kay wears Religion

What would your go to Religion outfit be?
It is already the parchment dress from SS13! And we all love the leather jackets and the printed T-shirts…

We Love: The Lynch Jacket

The Religion Lynch Jacket is the King of leathers. Distressed leather in a classic biker shape is scattered with hard-as-nails studs which are perfect for the edgy AW12 look. What's more, we challenge you to find a leather as soft as this. It's garnered a range of celebrity fans and the latest star to sport the jacket is Demi Lovato.

Demi wears her Lynch with red lips and a red dress - finished with a glossy brunette top knot.

Zip details are on each cuff, plus a small envelope pocket is on the front.

Angel Haze wore the jacket with a more dressed down vibe, paired with grey skinnies and the Voodoo Jumper.

Nina Nesbitt wore the Lynch with a chunky red knit.

We're in love with the scattered stud details! Buy the Lynch in a Religion store or online.

Halloween Inspiration

Sexy witches and horny devils are SO Halloween 2011. Read on for Halloween costume inspiration direct from our Shoreditch High Street store.

The Olsen Maxi is the best way to play the Corpse Bride - pair with ripped lace and smudged black lips.
Our Flag Kimono is embellished with velvet birds - perfect for playing fortune tellers or witches.
Lace details give a Halloween outfit a chicer edge.
Our Witch Sweatshirt is available in Religion stores and online at ASOS.
More is most definitely more on Halloween. Sequins on satin on velvet on sequins is a good look.
For the guys - a heavy overcoat can double as an undertakers coat.
Or distressed leather would take your zombie outfit to the next level.
Laddered knits can work as spider webs or extreme moth holes!
If you're stuck for something to do this Halloween our friends at Bedroom Bar are hosting a Halloween special including live music and free facepaint.... what's not to love?! Click here for the details.
