Halloween is upon us.

It’s the end of October, there is an unwelcome chill in the air, and it’s the only time in the year a pumpkin is on the top of everyone’s shopping list… It is of course Halloween.

Now some of you will make a real effort  fancy dress and transform into your chosen alter ego, others will just buy a tube of fake blood, cover yourselves in it, in an attempt to look...scary. For those of you, who like a little injection of morbidity and horror in everyday life, why not opt for one of our illustrated t-shirts such as the Man Who Fell to Earth top...

Religion is the place to go for muted, dark and moody printed t-shirts. So save yourself washing all that fake blood out of your top and head down to one of our three stores and get a new addition to your wardrobe- something that will last longer than that pumpkin you spent a good few hours carving, which is no doubt starting to decay already!

Religion Autumn/Winter 2011 Collection

For Autumn/Winter 2011, Religion has stayed true to its roots, with a collection that echoes the diamond in the rough aesthetic.

Colours of stone and marble once again sit comfortably alongside blacks, with the introduction of mustard, fuscia and muted purples to add colour and vibrance to the women's collection and dirty blues tied with mottled grey hues for the men's. Feminine fabrics are given that tough edge with leather tassling , and metal beading. Menswear offers contrasting fabrics teamed together to create contrast and interest.
The wide variety of textures in the collection lend themselves to layering and draping creating a thrown together, effortless sillhouette, with faggoting, moth holes and hems left open to give items a worn look.

Dystopian imagery is used in the men's collection, combined with provocative and daring prints, taunting the depths of the mind. Jersey is heavy with industrial details of rope and thick stripes and winter coats are offered in thick felts with leather detailing. T-shirts stay true to the brand with skeletons featuring throughout.

Origami folds and foil embellishments are seen in womenswear with suggestion of rebellion and anarchistic behaviours with the paint splattered prints which merge into flower like creations. Opaque shirts and chiffon play-suits give a playful edge and knitwear is directional with heavy detailing and oversized shapes.

Zombie Man

The epitome of defying social norms; Rick Genest. More commonly known as Zombie Man; here is a guy who has sacrificed many hours creating what is arguably a work of art, tattooed over his whole body. He has decorated himself with something every body wants to look at, yet in this short film 'Child's Play', for Schön! magazine, it would seem he is not as comfortable in his own skin as one would assume. Beautiful or disturbing...?

Religion loves... Silver Jewellery

Jonathan, a Graphic Designer from New York came into our Shoreditch store a few days ago. Apart from looking very sharp and Gothic in his all-black outfit (see our Facebook), we couldn't help notice the interesting and detailed jewellery adorning his hands...

An Introduction To... Deviant Behaviour

Welcome to Deviant Behaviour; the Religion Clothing blog. Here we will be getting to the root of the East London born brand. We hope to shed light on the dark corners of the Religion mind- showing how we think, what we do, and most definitely not following social norms.

Expect to see; designer sketches, must have items from our latest collections, and inspiration; from the streets, to our very customers themselves. Shops on the High Street are all to easily indistinguishable from each other these days. Religion is not about conforming to the same old rules. Instead, we're here to give a fresh, alternative approach along with a good dose of attitude...
